Classes
Yes, we provide a waitlist once classes fill up. If a spot opens up you have 24 hours to confirm your spot before it will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
Unfortunately, all class sales are final.
In the event a student is not able to attend a class, we do not offer refunds, make up classes or drop in access in lieu of attending class.
Please make sure you are able to attend all classes in a course before registering.
We do not allow guests or visitors to attend our classes with registered participants.
All of our classes are taught at a beginner level starting with the very basics of wheel throwing. If you have some previous experience in clay please let us know and feel free to request more advanced demos from your instructor. You are welcome to use your class time to advance your skills from novice to intermediate and our instructors are here to guide you in technique.
We host in an intimate setting of 6 to 8 people per class. This class size supports individual training, and we find that students who learn with us advance quickly and smoothly.
Course fees include the cost of clay and glaze. When in the studio you will have access to our wheels and tools for use in your course. Your work will be included in our bisque and glaze kiln firings, and you will be able to keep any finished work that you produce during the course.
All classes and workshops take place at our East Vancouver studio at 1803 East 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5N 1B2 near Commercial Drive. The entrance to the studio is in the back alley of the blue Grandview Church building. There is street parking all along Salsbury Drive and you'll find a bike rack in the front of the building.
Wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes. We will have aprons and tools for you to use while you are here.
Sorry, we do not accept any other form of payment other than cash.
No glazes or clay from outside the JustPotters studio is allowed to be brought in.
Previous experience is required, but you do not have had to take a class with us. Just let us know your experience level.
We do not offer storage for your items, so please be prompt in picking up your work.
Ceramics
We only consider custom pieces for orders of 20 or more. Any custom pieces considerations will include design fees and prototyping.
We do not offer individual, one-off custom pieces.
Unfortunately, we do not accept any outside work for firing in our kilns.
Delivery
For larger orders within Canada we can arrange for a courier or postal shipment. Please note that we accept no responsibility for any damaged pottery made in shipments or undelivered packages.
We do not ship small orders.
All pottery pieces can be picked up at our studio. For custom orders, please make sure to arrange a pick-up time with us before arriving.
If you have taken a class with us, please pick up your completed work during Drop-in hours. Please note that any items left 3 weeks after a class will be discarded as we need the space for other students.
